Slow Progress

Well I haven't got much accomplished this past week. No matter how I tried knitting time just didn't happen.

I've been busy helping my oldest daughter off to college.......registration, picking classes, books ,etc. And of course the darned administators actually expect you to pay for everything. I don't know what's up with that. LOL

Then today I spent the day at the auto service center. It seems there's these things called bearings that the mechanics say hold your wheel on that were looking just a tad ragged. They told me they needed replacing or there was a chance my wheel could fall off while driving if they got bad enough. That sounded pretty important so I gave them the go ahead. It's like a brand new car......go figure what a little maintenance will do.

Actually, I really had good intentions. I brought my knitting bag with me. Inside was a box stitch variegated scarf that only has a few more inches to go. But with the mall being right next door I opted to check out Bath and Body works and Yankee Candle.

I ended up buying a few really pretty smelling items. Had lunch......got some walking in. So it was pretty productive after all. (hehehehehe)

A forgotten project

I went digging through my boxes of yarn and supplies today and was totally surprised by the forgotten projects I have left by the wayside for sooo long.

This is a childrens sweater I had started while pondering and experimenting with Jackie Fee's Sweater Workshop book (I have two by the way). I am a lover of knitting in the round and am a huge fan of EZ who opened my creativity immensely to add to my knitting and designing.

Anyhoo.......when I finally figured out where I left off I realized I had already started the raglan decs and only had a few more inches to go. So , thank goodness for keeping awesome notes on my projects I was able to finish it in a couple of hours.

The part that made me just a wee bit nervous was the grafting of the sleeves together. I had tried ump-teen times to conquer this dasterdly deed in the past......no luck.

BUT today was a great success!

I couldn't believe how simple it actually is......... WOOHOO!!!!

To my next project.......
