100% wool handspun yarn

These skeins are more on the bulky side. 100% wool....approximately #10 needles would be used for knitting.

variegated two ply handspun yarn

I thought I would show off some of my handspun yarn. The brown on the left and the gray on the right are alpaca/wool...one strand of each plied together....worsted weight .... # 8 needles would be used for knitting

childs sweater

If I recall correctly this sweater is a Yankee Knitter Design. Great design and easy to knit. The only thing I would change is I would use something besides the Plymouth Galway wool yarn....it seems to pill a bit especially on the sleeves.

childs sweater.......my own design from years ago

This is a childs sweater of my own design....it was so much fun from beginning to end. I really liked the dark green color but unfortunately doesn't lend itself too well to the texture pattern I chose. There is a cable that runs down the center of each sleeve and apple basket buttons put the finishing touches on my creation.

This was knitted many years ago for one of my daughters.....still looks great. I fumbled a bit when I was placing the buttonholes but it's ok... it seems to have worked out well anyway

Time Flies

I can't believe it's already May 2009. Where does the time go?

I recently moved and it gave me a chance to ponder over my fiber supplies and knitting necessities. Let me tell you I have enough to work with for at least a year. Wow!

It also gave me a glimpse of how much of me and my passion for fiber that I've set aside to take care of others. It's pretty scary.

But now the girls are little ladies now and are on their own trying to define themselves out in the world. Sooooo......

Now is my chance to get back to taking care of me and what I was put here to do. Knit, spin, dye and design......

So, please bear with me a little more. I will have this blog up and active in no time. Oh boy! Wait 'til you see all of the UNfinished projects I have from years ago.

Sit tight and I will be back in the swing of things in no time..... See you soon!
