I just can't believe how much rain we have gotten here in Central Massachusetts in the past month. It's almost July now and we have yet to see any signs of summer. I'm not complaining. I love the cooler temps....a little sunshine would be wonderful to lift the spirit, though.
The vegetable garden lies in wait of the big yellow ball in the sky to help produce some juicy tomatoes, squash and peppers. And the sunflowers are looking a tad dwarfed right now due to the lack of brightness.
The wild turkeys who we have seemed to adopt and Mr. Woodchuck who resides under our shed don't seem to affected at all by the weather. They still find time in between the raindrops to go out and splurge on clover flowers and fallen seeds from the bird feeder. They continue on unaware of the wet grass and puddles in the driveway that seem to be permanent at this point. (I was thinking about buying a bird bath for the fine feathered friends that visit on a daily basis but for now that expense will be put on hold.)
So in the meantime, I will knit and ponder new knitted ideas in my head patiently waiting for Mother Nature to bless us with a gorgeous sunny day.
Peace be with Ewe!!
